What most users will like about Piped, however, is not its privacy benefits, but the fact it lets you watch Youtube without advertisements. Piped is not the only software of its kind - after all, Invidious is way more popular - but I find it much better than the alternatives when you want to host a Youtube frontend for yourself and a small group of friends.
